A sliding shower door is more commonly found in older flats as recent trends have homeowners choosing tempered glass for as their choice of shower divider. In most cases, the sliding shower door is made of plastic material and a common issue is the break in the bottom clip.

There is a glass design for such sliding shower door too and in this case the issue one would frequently face is the top roller getting spoiled.

Above are some sample of bathroom sliding door and the roller used in them. The example on the right is an older version of sliding door. The parts are not readily available and a replacement of the whole set might be needed.

Most swing glass shower door in Singapore are made of tempered glass. This is because of the strength of the glass allowing it to be sturdy. There are 2 main type of shower glass namely the glass to wall shower door and the glass to glass shower door. The main difference can be seen on the hinge and where it is attached to.

Glass to Glass Shower Hinges: As seen in the attached picture, the glass to glass shower door refers to both side of the hinges sitting onto glass. Most of the hinges sit flat at a 180 degree when close but in some occasions we can find 125 degree hinges, with the close position at an angle.

Glass to Wall Shower Hinges: On the other hand we have the glass to wall shower hinges. As seen the hinges are attached directly onto a wall and comes with 2 variation. The 4 screws or 3 screws hinges.

Thankfully unlike other complicated repair works. The hinges size used in Singapore are mostly standardise among different brands. The hard part is not finding the hinges but rather in doing the alignment of the glass.
